Jews on Bikes: Re-Entry Bike Ride

Feeling cooped up? Want to connect with other members in person safely? Want a local adventure? Then join us for a comfortable & safe & slow 6 mile re-entry bike ride on Nov 22 at 11am until 12:30 pm.

We’ll meet in the Netivot Shalom parking lot at 11 am, get an orientation (ie how to be safe), sign waivers for the synagogue and then head out safely wearing masks and single file. Most of the ride is on “protected bike lanes” with no car traffic anywhere. You MUST wear a helmet and preferably brightly colored clothing. And while we’ll do this together, we plan to minimize talking for everyone’s health’s sake, please.

The route: Addison (the road can be a bit bumpy at times) toward the Bay to the dedicated ped/bike bridge (may be a bit steep and there is no shame in walking your bike up the bridge) to the Bay Trail. Then south toward Emeryville, turn at Powell and then again at Shellmound Road. We’ll pass a homeless encampment before joining a bike/ped path along the Berkeley aquatic park which will take us to Addison and back to Netivot Shalom.

We’d love your company!!  Come join us and bring a friend if you like. This is suitable for all ages. (We’ll reschedule if there is heavy rain.)

Got questions? Send them to Shosh@Blachman.org  To register for this event please go to: registration form.

And if you are willing to lead or sweep (ie be at or near the end), please indicate that on your registration form we’ll be in touch!
