Summer-time Volunteer Opportunity

New American Africans works with students who are still in the process of mastering English.  Our summer literacy support program pairs a new American student with an older, host community student.  New American students will read out loud with their partner for about 15 minutes.  We have a wide range of reading materials that can be used for this purpose.  After reading, everyone plays board games and shares a snack.A picture containing grass, outdoor, person, table

We understand that most youth have activities scheduled during the summer and can’t come to all of our meetings.  We hope that volunteers can commit to coming three or more times.  We encourage you to join us when we go to the beach and on our yet-to-be-determined activity.  Last year, we went to Gunstock Aerial Adventure Park and had a very fun day.A group of people sitting at a picnic table
