DESIGN A SUITE OF MOBILE-FIRST EMAIL
TEMPLATES BRIEF

TOLD BY RUN_FRICTIONLESS

FREDERICK W TAYLOR,
SCIENTIFIC MANAGEMENT 1911

OBJECTIVES

Produce one or more HTML templates for the purpose of communicating news and notifications.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT

The primary focus of the website is to entice visitors to register their name and email address and reserve a copy of the book at 50% of the retail price when the book goes on sale 2018. There will be many pre-launch activities designed to draw traffic to the site before the book goes on sale. The more reservations, the more copies of the book and reviews we capture the day the book goes on sale on Amazon.

The sale of the book is key to building the credibility of the author as an authority on the subject of sales systems, and ultimately the brand. The book lays down the concepts on how to design and build a sales system. In addition to book reservations, the purpose of the website is to drive pre-launch engagement with readers (events, videos, and articles on the book), and offer visitors an opportunity to attend workshops and purchase consulting hours.

AGENCY SCOPE
OF WORKS

We require one or two design concepts. Once the design is approved we require the design files to be provided as HTML templates available within our MailChimp account.

SUPPLIED

  1. logos
  2. brand guideline
  3. website and business card design
  4. reference templates
  5. access to MailChimp

SPECIFICATION

Template to be optimized for mobile and built-in MailChimp. Where possible all CSS and design cues should come from either the business plan or website https://crowdsale.[hidden].com/ We prefer the EDM has no bounding border and the background color bleeds to the edge of the screen in all directions.

WEIGHT

The weight of the page (text, code, and images) should not exceed 50kb. For this reason, we prefer to avoid the use of imagery and keep the focus instead of the headline and copy.

MOBILE-FIRST

The EDM must be designed with the mobile device as the top priority. It is important the logo, headline, and body copy fill the screen. Where possible make the template adaptive so it caters to mobile, tablet, and PC desktop. A best practice guide found here.

2. Company name

3. Company address

4. Social media (take from the website)

5. Messenger (take from the website)

6. Scam clause
