  1. Status of circulation of the Google form for collecting information on information resources.
  1. Pending action on Ruth: RD will review this proto-profile/survey against the GEOSS service description metadata
  1. Ruth has evaluated the GEOSS approach. Decided to stick with the present form.
  1. Add a sentence in the introduction to indicate that a broadly defined cryosphere is the starting point, but can expand to other disciplines/spheres later.

  1. Will circulate within the group first, using the Polar Semantics Google Group before it is more widely circulated.

  1. Awareness updates (roundtable)
  1. Will be an meeting between ENVRI+  and SIOS in Svalbard where e-infrastructures, interoperability, controlled vocabularies and ontologies will be discussed.  NERC is a member of ENVRI+ and is very active in publishing vocabularies, etc.  ENVRI-FAIR is a follow on in negotiation at the moment.
  2. The next VOCAMP will be held October 22-24 in Washington, DC. at NIH's NCBI.  Glacier ontologies will be one of the topics.
  3. Research school in Svalbard in December for early career scientists - need to put together some teaching materials by then.  Should really be shareable with the community, and perhaps the community can help create these. Ruth noted that ESIP/USGS/AGU has been funded to create a registry of educational resources related to data.  These are peer-reviewed so would be a good place to curate the resources curated.
