A reminder that this evening is our Carol Service in St. Andrew’s Church starting at 6pm. We ask that all children attend with an adult and that you sit together in the pews. We will call up the children to sing at different points in the service and there will be lots of carols that we all sing together. Please ensure children are in their school uniforms.
Christmas lunch is on Thursday. Our catering team will be laying on a traditional Christmas lunch, with a vegetarian option (and crackers) for the whole school to enjoy. Please log on to live Kitchen and order which option your child would like.
If your child does not wish to have a christmas lunch that is fine and we will of course give crackers to those who have a packed lunch.
Please remember that ties should be worn from year 2 to year 6. Reception children do not need to wear ties and they are optional in year 1.
After School Club
Please note that on the last day of term, the 20th December, as school finishes at 1.30pm, ASC will run from then until 4.30pm and all children must be collected by this time. A snack of fruit and a biscuit will be given during the afternoon.
Hagbourne CE School Primary Facebook Page
Mrs Lewis will be relaunching the school’s facebook page (not the PTA page - that is separate!). The idea is to keep you updated on all the many lovely things going on at school, with the odd reminder about various events/trips etc.
Mrs Crewe and Miss Crossan’s leaving party
Wednesday the 19th December will be the leaving party for Mrs Crewe and Miss Crossan! Please come in party clothes in the morning (make sure you can still go out to the toilet and out playtime easily!). There will be party games, food and drink during the day.

Hagbourne school choir
On Thursday 29th November, our school choir went to Oxford town hall to participate in the 'Big Christmas Sing'. We were joined by 8 other schools and many parents where we sang carols and Christmas songs. The choir worked really hard through their lunchtimes to prepare for this performance and myself and Miss Mundy were extremely proud of them: they behaved impeccably, sang beautifully and showed much dedication in their attitude. Thank you so much to all the choir for their efforts, patience and hard work. And so we continue to prepare for the next performance...
National League Trust Competition at Oxford City FC
Mr MacKenzie and Mr Froud would like to say how impressed and proud they are of the boys football team, who competed in the National League Trust Tournament at Oxford City FC. All the boys played brilliantly and scored some excellent goals. We came up against some very strong teams and managed to give them a run for their money. The boys finished just short of qualification from their group - on goal difference!
Well done to everyone who took part in Kate Goodays Piano Concert at St. Andrews Church on Sunday, it was lovely to hear so many different pieces of music. Well done to Erin and Florrie for announcing each pianist. Sammy
This week is going to get colder, please make sure you children attend school with warm coats, hats and gloves.
Please see here for next terms menu, remember to log onto Live Kitchen and select school lunches
