Salary: $50-$60k base salary + commission
We are seeking a new team member to lead and help grow our direct-to-consumer sales channel, primarily through national e-commerce and Washington, DC area in-store pick-up and delivery. The ideal candidate has a successful history driving e-commerce revenue and social media strategy. You should be an independent worker with high attention to detail, a devotion to customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills. In a small craft distillery, being a flexible team player is a must. This position will report directly to the CEO.
Broadly, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a paid and organic sales strategy tied to revenue goals and mapped over the months and quarters of the year.
- Working with in-house tools like Canva, Mailchimp, Square, Shopify, Instagram, Facebook, Google
- Identifying and managing contractors if we feel we need them but first task is always trying to solve the problem in-house
- Ensuring that our retail space is organized, clean and inviting.
- Tracking and reporting all data. If we can’t measure it, we can’t count on it.
- Ensuring that every direct-to-consumer customer has the best experience possible with our brands.
Specifically, the job will entail:
- Use sales data + feedback to optimize our online presence and grow our e-commerce sales channels
- Plan seasonally appropriate paid ad campaigns and the creative assets needed to be successful.
- Organize and manage to a frugal budget any outside vendors required to implement the sales strategy
- In strategic coordination with the CEO, manage Republic Restoratives’ social media calendar to align content with sales goals, seasonality, current events, and product launches
- Create and post content that grows our followings and drives sales
- Manage message inboxes
- With the guidance of the CEO, create email campaigns for events, promotions, holidays, product releases, and beyond, aiming for 2 emails/month
- Conduct tests on email content and logistics
- Analyze campaign outcomes to identify opportunities for strengthening future campaigns
- Maintain a reliable working knowledge of inventory and products we carry
- Oversee addition of new products to online store from start to finish
- Work with production team to identify DTC product launch timing
- Coordinate new product and seasonal product photography
- Write product descriptions with accurate product information
- Set appropriate inventory levels for each item based on stock + availability

- Ensure all products we have available to sell are uploaded to the RR website
- Update any links connecting out to web stores
- Check product stock against web inventory daily and update products accordingly
- Identify low stock items and communicate them to relevant colleagues
- Rearrange and merchandise web products regularly to boost sales + maintain aesthetic standards
- Maintain a culture of quality customer care
- Manage the info@republicrestoratives email account and social media inboxes by responding to all inquiries within 24-48 hours using kind and professional language in keeping with our standards. Redirect to appropriate team member if their inquiry can’t be resolved.
- Problem solve promptly when order issues arise, providing proactive and creative solutions in order to keep sales and make customers happy
- Effectively handle a number of competing priorities and tasks at the same time
- Contribute to the overall organization and cleanliness of the Ivy Room day-to-day

Requirements and Details
- Full-time, salaried position with competitive benefits
- Some schedule flexibility required to accommodate for evenings and weekends marketing campaigns but with preplanning and scheduled communications, that can be minimized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively via multiple channels
- Previous experience in customer service or a customer facing role
- Experience working with Shopify/Square is strongly preferred
- Experience managing and growing social media followings preferred
- Efficient in Google App Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
