Feedback on the Brief
Your comment: I believe I completed the brief, including all of the relevant information apart from the prices.
Feedback on colours:
Your comment: In order to produce a consistent colour scheme I only used three colours in my design and text; black white and green. These colours work well with the genre but it was difficult to choose a background colour because there were so many accent colours on the model’s jacket to choose from. I tried to stick to more dull and deep colours to correlate with the industrial feel of the title typeface.
Feedback on typeface:
Your comment: All of the text is legible, this is because I only used a more specialised typeface for the artist title and used a more legible and easy to read one for the other information. I did this so the genre of music could still come across to the audience whilst still being accessible and easy on the eye.
Feedback on integration of image and graphics
Your comment: I chose not to wrap the text around the image but nevertheless made sure none of it overlapped with the image. One thing I could improve is to use a picture where the model is facing in a certain direction so that their gaze can focus the reader’s on the relevant information.
Feedback on image
Your comment: I think that the costume chosen reflects my genre of ‘rock’ well because the patches on his jacket and also his shirt represent other ideals and bands of this genre. Apart from the direction he is facing, I am happy with the model’s body language because he is holding a more old-fashioned microphone and has a moody look on his face. These features connote the ideals of rebellion and intensity which are prevalent in the rock genre.
Feedback on copy
Your comment: I aimed to prompt the audience to take action by using imperatives like ‘keep updated’ to create a sense of urgency.
Feedback on connotations
Your comment: I think I could’ve catered my text slightly more to the genre and brief because it does come off slightly generic.
