New venues/artists for HAT 2020
The Henley Arts Trail started in 2006 to raise the profile of visual arts and local artists, and has become increasingly popular ever since. There is no selection procedure as such, however, the standard of work on the Trail is high and a number of our artists are professional, so you need to be confident that your work would sit comfortably with what you have seen on the Trail.
We get an increasing number of requests from individuals who would like to take part in the Trail, so we have set out some formal guidelines. We welcome newcomers, but feel it is important to include those artists who've loyally supported the Trail through its formative years.
New venues and new artists
If you wish to apply to be a new venue or to be included as a single artist in a trail venue in May 2020, please submit a 50 word statement describing your work, with three jpg images. Label your images with your name first, then the title of the work and media.
Your statement and images will be circulated to venue leaders, who will then approach you directly if they have space, and they feel your work compliments that of the other artists at the venue.
We cannot guarantee you a place on the Trail. If you have not heard from a venue leader then you must assume that you have been unsuccessful.
You are free to reapply each year.
If you are accepted by a venue, address all queries and correspondence to your venue leader.
They will be responsible for briefing you about the requirements and involving you in what goes on.
Please complete your 50 word statement in a word document and attach your 3 correctly labelled jpgs. Work that is sent to us in a different format or incorrectly labelled will be deleted. Keep a copy of this doc for your own reference and email your statement and jpgs to Jo Keiller at - firstname.lastname@example.org
