How to Connect Your Chromebook to WiFi                

  1. When you turn on your Chromebook for the first time, or when you turn it on in a new location, you will see a pop-up box appear with the title “Network not available.” Select your home wireless network or the wireless network for your location.

  1. Enter the password for the wireless network. Click on the “eye” if you want to see the password to check for correctness.

  1. You will be prompted to sign into the Chromebook with your McCann Google account. Enter your username.

  1. Enter your password for your McCann Google account. Click on “Show password” if you want to see your password and check it for correctness.

  1. Once you are logged in, you have the ability to change your wireless settings by clicking the menu button in the lower right corner.

  1. You can turn the wireless network on or off by clicking on the blue, round wireless icon.

  1. You can access other wireless networks by clicking on the pull-down menu arrow below the wireless icon.

  1. A list of available wireless access points will open. Click on the network of your choice and enter the password.
