COVID-19 Update

Kia ora Musselburgh Whānau,

You’ll no doubt be aware of the change to Alert Level 2 again this morning, which is in place for the next

seven days. We plan to go ahead with Parent Interviews as we can ensure there are less than 100 people onsite after 3pm and we can socially distance - please see below for our guidelines for Interviews. Next week the new alert level affects school as follows:

Routine Changes:

This worked really well last year and we thank you for your cooperation.

Alert Level 3 preparation - this Google form takes 30 seconds to complete Alert Level 3 Preparation Survey Form

and is vital for our preparation to keep the school running smoothly in the event we move to Alert Level 3 - thank you for the information provided so far that we have for 68 students - we urgently need the information for everyone else so if you haven’t filled this in please could you do it as soon as possible.

Parent Interviews

We will go ahead with interviews as we can follow Alert Level 2 guidelines. Please can all families follow this procedure to ensure everyone can socially distance, keeping everyone safe:

  1. The classroom will be spread out in order to keep everyone 2m apart. Please respect this as it will look a little strange compared to normal interview conditions
  2. Please limit the family members attending the interview to two plus your child
  3. Please arrive at your appointment time only so we don’t get lots of people waiting together outside classrooms. We will be ensuring everyone starts and finishes their interviews promptly
  4. Please can everyone entering use the hand sanitiser that will be outside the classroom for your use

Thank you very much for your cooperation with this as we realise the importance of these interviews and the importance of keeping our community safe at this time

Please look out for further communication especially if the Alert levels alter again. Useful websites for are the Ministry of Health  and the Ministry of Education

In the meantime - thank you for your help with keeping our school a safe place to learn for our students.

Ngā mihi

Tumuaki / Principal
