Elementary and Secondary

Fifth grade will be gone Wednesday, Sept. 26th for Conservation Day at Old Wadena. We leave at 8:45 and will be back by the end of the day.

Staff:  Collective Goods have items on display in the Media Center.  Orders will need to be in by Thursday, Sept. 20th.

Students riding bikes to school should be sure to place them in the bike rack - do not park them on the sidewalk.


There will be a student council meeting today at 2:50 in Mrs. Dissmore's room.

The  junior class will be going to the college fair at WDC High School today - leave at 12:35 and return at 2:10. Students have been instructed to check in to 5th hour before being excused to the bus.

Voice of Democracy Contest

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in the Voice of Democracy contest. This year's essay topic is "Why My Vote Matters." The top three winners from Sebeka School will receive cash prizes (1st place - $150, 2nd place - $125, 3rd place - $100). Deadline is October 23rd. See Mrs. Kern for more info!

Patriot's Pen Contest

Students in grades 7 & 8 are invited to participate in the Patriot's Pen contest. This year's essay topic is "Why I Honor the American Flag." The top three winners from Sebeka School will receive cash prizes (1st place - $40, 2nd place - $35, 3rd place - $30). Deadline is October 23rd. See Mrs. Kern for more info!

Any students in grades 7-12 who are interested in entering the Patriot's Pen or Voice of Democracy contests should see Mrs. Kern for more information. There will be cash prizes for the top three winners in both junior high and high school.

Sophomores that still need to pay this year's class dues of $10 bring to Lydia L. or Mrs. P-H:

Juniors - class dues are $15.00. Please give to Kolby or Mrs. Fjeldheim.

Reminder to BPA members:  Dues are $25 and due by Oct. 1st.

Band fundraising materials are due September 25th.

Pep Band Friday, Sept. 21st for Football.  Percussion and electronics set up trailer at 5:30 p.m.  Horns need to be out of the band room before 6 p.m.

Jr. Band practice sheets are due Friday, Sept 21st.

The athletic department will be hosting a professional wrestling event on Oct 13th at 7:00. Zack Kreklau will be participating in the show as a manager for one of the wrestlers. The show will be taped and televised on 45TV. I have received a limited amount of tickets that will guarantee you admittance into the event. Cost of tickets is $10 and they are all general admission. The event will be held in the big gym. Tickets are available in the office.

Please excuse Taylor Horton and Emmalee Huntington this morning to help with picture day.

Juniors are reminded to please check in to your 5th hour class before loading the bus for the college fair today.

Any juniors who are interested in taking the PSAT test on October 10th should sign up with Mrs. Kern.

Drama class - please report to Ms. Polman’s classroom today due to pictures on the stage!

Sports pictures should be picked up in the office.

Congratulations to Maya Lake!  She reached 1,000 digs last night in Pequot Lakes!  Way to go, Maya!
