Santa Cruz Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) Plan Stakeholders:

Please save Tuesday, February 4th from 3:00 – 4:30 PM for an informational workshop regarding the upcoming project solicitation for the Santa Cruz IRWM Plan. In the near future we will send out a form for submitting projects, and the purpose of the workshop will be to review and answer any questions regarding the form and the process through which projects will be integrated into the Plan.

To be clear, the project solicitation will be for the purposes of integrating projects into the Plan; it is not for the purpose of applying to the State for IRWM grant funds at this time. We anticipate that the Department of Water Resources (DWR) will solicit IRWM Implementation grant applications in the fall (Round 3), and submitting your project will make it eligible for consideration to be included in a funding application for those funds. Inclusion in the IRWMP does not guarantee that a project will eventually be submitted for IRWM grant funds. The mix of projects included in an IRWM funding application will vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the amount of available funding, local priorities, and the program priorities established by DWR.

The meeting will be held at the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County, located at 7807 Soquel Drive in Aptos. Attendance is not mandatory for submitting projects.
