Show Pitch:

The Department of Variance of Somewhere, Ohio. Jasmine Control, a new hire at a shady governmental agency called The Department of Variance, went through an extended supernatural orientation that ended with her manager, Yellow Access, trying to meld the minds of every worker in the office. To save her friend Scarlet Jaunt from death at the hands of her new boss, Jasmine used her newly discovered psychic abilities to jump into the past, to a point where Scarlet was alive. She miscalculated, and now she’s stuck in Scarlet’s memories from 10 years ago.

This season picks up with Jasmine, Scarlet, Violet, and Daryll visiting the woods to see a lunar eclipse after their senior year of high school, ten years prior to the events of season one. The moon disappears, and they are stuck in a sweltering eternal night in the woods. But something else is lurking in the woods with them. Something…midwestern. The friends will have to figure out what’s going on and put a stop to it if they ever want to escape, and if Jasmine ever wants to return to her normal life.

-Created by Rat Grimes (they/them), creator of the Dead Letter Office of Somewhere, Ohio. Set in the same universe.

-Rural horror with comedy, body horror, and sci-fi elements, 10 episodes, ~21 minutes per episode.

-All recording will be done remotely. You must have your own recording setup or be able to borrow one for the duration. When submitting clips, demos, etc., please use the setup you will be using to record your lines if possible.

-This will likely be unpaid. I’m a solo indie creator, and this is basically a fun hobby for me. I’m happy to promote any of your other projects or offer other work in exchange. I’m hoping to raise some funds to pay the cast, but how much will depend on the generosity of the listeners.

-In case it’s not apparent, trans/nonbinary folks are welcome to apply!
