Craft for Charity is not an instructional program. AGOAC Craft Group has been making items for charities since 2016. It is a small group of members interested in knitting and crocheting getting together to share their interest. They have a common goal of using their skills to contribute to the community by creating items for donations and/or to raise money for charities. .
Though we were able to find sponsors for some of the yarns in the past, in most cases, group members donate their own resources to create the items.
Meeting Place: Old Unionville Library Community Centre
Meeting Time: Wednesday, 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm
If you are interested in joining the group, send an email to craft@agoac.ca. Please note:
- Prerequisite: basic knitting and/or crocheting skills
- Be willing to pay for own materials in many cases
- Be prepared to work on your own and find your own patterns
- Be willing to contribute to the group’s efforts
