The filing of Federal Taxes for the 2013 year  is due by April 15th, 2014.

Two Ongoing Surveys Requesting Postdoc Input

1) AAAS survey on the career support needed for S.T.E.M. professionals to meet their goals. More details here; survey here.

2) Welch Medical Library survey concerning its online Bioinformatics Portal (provides multiple resources in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, and pharmacogenomics). 4/02 deadline; survey here.

Not only is securing such positions intensely competitive, but we are in a time in which we need highly trained life science Ph.D.s occupying a broad array of careers outside of that restricted niche.

The newly established Postdoctoral Research Presentation Club is looking for members and speakers! Monthly events consist of 3 presentations per session. Practice a research talk and receive friendly feedback from an audience of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Native English speakers and ESL speakers alike are encouraged to attend and present.

When: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 12-1pm
