PRE-GAME

Set the Options to Fast (Text), Off (Animations), Set (Battle Style).

Name yourself and the rival “c” (for glitch item Later), as the Old Man Glitch doesn’t exist in Yellow Version.

Pallet Town

Enter the grass, and Oak will lead you to his lab.

Pick the Eevee Poke Ball, get Pikachu and Fight the Rival.

Rival Fight

Eevee: Thundershock until dead.

(On route 1, defeat an encounter to get to level 7 after the Caterpie fight.)

Exit the Lab and go to Route 1.

Route 1

Avoid the grass as much as possible and head to Viridian Forest.

Viridian City

Go to Viridian Mart and Get Oak’s Parcel, then head back to Pallet Town.

Pallet Town

Go to Oak’s Lab, Talk to Oak to get the Pokedex and walk back to Viridian City.

Viridian City

Watch the forced tutorial, get the hidden Potion in the tree and proceed to Viridian Forest.

Viridian Forest

Follow this map to get to the Bug Catcher. Pick up the Hidden Antidote (above NPC near entrance), the Potion (C on the map and the Hidden Potion beside the mandatory Bug Catcher.

Fight Bug Catcher

Caterpie: Thundershock until dead.

Check your defense at level 7. Depending on it, the Diglett fight slightly changes. (When you use the potion in the fight)

Exit the forest and walk to Pewter City.

Pewter City

Heal at the Pokemon Center, and go to the Mart.

Exit the Mart and Backtrack to Viridian Forest.

Viridian Forest

Backtrack to Trainer Number 4 and go to this tile:

Then, take one step left and while you are in mid-walk (w/e), hold Start until the Start menu pops up and use the Escape Rope. You will then warp back to Pewter City.

Note: If you get an encounter, the run is most likely over. The only way to continue the run is to faint to the encounter. If you’re up against a Metapod, then there is no way to faint. Caterpie’s take some time, Pidgey’s are quick with STAB Gust and Pidgeotto will probably rek you.

Pewter City

Walk to Brock’s Gym, and fight the Jr. Trainer-M in a way that he walks to you.

On 9 and 10 defense, there are 2 strats, a (slightly) risky strat and a safe strat.

Safe Strat:

Diglett: Growl x3, Potion, Growl until Pikachu Faints

(This strat needs 1 crit after 2 growls to die, and 2 crits after healing to die)

Risky Strat:

Diglett: Growl x2, Potion, Growl until Pikachu Faints.

(While it is impossible to die before healing, Pikachu is put at a lower health range before you can growl 6 times and therefore Diglett can crit you while you are in death crit range)

On 11 defense, there are 2 Strats, the Safe Strat, and the YOLO strat. (No Risky Strat)

Safe Strat:

Diglett: Growl x2, Potion, Growl until Pikachu Faints.

(Basically the same as the First Safe Strat)

YOLO Strat:

Diglett: Growl x6

(Needs no Crit) (Kind of like Gen 2 Bird Keeper Abe)

After the fight, you should be warped back to the Pokemon Center. Talk to the Poke Center Sign, and walk to Viridian Forest.

Viridian Forest

You will pick up a Poke Ball right as you enter the forest and you will automatically Jingle Skip it. After, Gengar will appear. Thundershock it once and Chuck Balls.

Once you catch Gengar, name it a 1 letter name.

Catch a Caterpie in the forest, and go back to Route 2.

Route 2

Swap Gengar to the front, walk into the grass and have Gengar gain experience by swapping to Pikachu and defeating the encounter.

After Gengar grows to level 100, Proceed to Brock.

Walk around the trainer and fight Brock.

Go to the PC inside the Pokemon Center, PC Save and Reset.

Walk back to Route 25 and fight the Bottom Hiker. (Make sure he walks to you)

Swap Repels to first slot, Swap X Specials to 6th slot, save while facing the girl (you do this by walking left and holding start at the same time), talk to the girl but say no (press B), open the menu, put the cursor on Abra and walk to Route 6.

When you exit the Underground Tunnel, your Start Menu should pop up. Immediately Mash A to teleport to Cerulean. A Level 80 Starmie should appear. Run Away.

MAKE SURE X SPECIAL IS IN THE 6TH SLOT.

Open the Pokemon Screen, close it and walk to Route 24.

If you encounter a Kabutops Fossil or Ghost Missingno., use 2 X specials and chuck balls at it until you catch it. If you didn’t, reset and repeat the process until you do.

After you catch Missingno., Trainer-Fly once more on Route 24.

Fight Bug Catcher (trainer in grass other than T-Fly Trainer)

After, Trainer-Fly on Route 6.

Deposit all Pokemon except Abra, Charmander and Cubone, PC Save and Reset.

Walk to Underground Tunnel and trade Cubone for Machoke.

Deposit Machamp and heal at Vermillion Center.

Route 11 and 12

Walk to Route 11, and fight the Gambler (one next to the building) (make sure he walks to you)

Go through the building on to the next route and pick up the Hyper Potion (hidden in second bottom bush)

Swap Charmander to front, and Teleport back to Vermillion and go to Route 6 (above Vermillion)

Catch Mr. Mime.

Walk back to Route 11 and Trainer-Fly here:

PC Save and Reset.

Walk back to Route 11 and repel before the grass.

Walk to Route 12, Repel and Trainer-Fly here:

Lavender Town and Route 8

Walk all the way to Lavender Town, then walk to Route 8.

Then, go to the rooftop and buy a Fresh Water.

Go back down to the second floor and buy 10-20 Super Repels.

Route 7

Exit the mart and walk all the way to Route 7, and into the Gatehouse.

Open your menu, and keep tossing the first stack of X Specials until you can’t toss anymore.

Then, give the Guard a drink.

(IMPORTANT PART HERE)

(NOTE: If you can’t scroll down/up, press B a few times [Don’t mash] to allow scrolling)

Toss the first X Specials 10 times, then swap it with the Super Repels.

Then, select the S.S. Ticket, scroll down until you see 0 Master Balls above other Master Balls under an item called “▆×▬▆”

Then, toss one of the “▆×▬▆s” above the SS Ticket. You should now have instant text speed.

After, scroll down until you see 12 Moon Stones, under 18 Master Balls and above 3 Poke Balls. Swap those with a useless item in your inventory (eg. Nugget, Ether etc.)

Scroll down to the 18 Master Balls and toss 14, then walk left. You will be in Lavender Town.

Lavender Town

Walk down to Route 12.

Swap the Second Stack of X Specials with the Master Balls, and catch the Chansey with your 0 Master Balls.

Enter Lavender Mart.

Open your menu and swap useless item with the Dome Fossil under an Itemfinder.

Scroll down until you see TM27, and teach it to Gengar.

Scroll down until you see 0 Calciums under “PC” and “4▆ ▆4▆ y 7……ぅ4▆ H▆”, then swap it with a useless item.

Scroll up until you see an item called “Rival’s” under your non-glitched inventory. Swap that with a useless item.

Toss the warp item once (under glitch item and above Potion/Moon Stone). You should be in Cerulean.

Go to Cerulean Gym and fight the Swimmer.

Select a useless item and scroll down into your glitched inventory until you find a Bicycle under 62 Ultra Balls and an ItemFinder. Swap the item with the Bicycle. Then Select Silph Scope (under TM48) and swap it with useless item

Bike to Route 24 and Catch Mew.

Bike to Dig House, Teach Dig to Mew, then swap TM40 (under “two feet and [rival name]” and above 10 Moon Stones) and toss 50. You should be in Lavender Tower.

Catch a Gastly. (Haunter and Cubone are Bonuses)

Dig Out. You should be in Vermillion now.

Bike to Route 11.

Catch the Koffing.

Walk into Diglett’s Cave.

Then, Scroll down until you see HM03 and teach it to Mew.

Then, teach TM32 to Mew

Then, Teach HM04 to Gengar over Confuse Ray.

Then, teach HM02 to Mew over Pound.

Go to the Bottom Floor and Get Diglett. (Dugtrio is a bonus)

Then, Swap the Old Amber with the Item under HM05 and 22 Master Balls.

Take one step Down/Up and Swap the Old Amber back.

Dig out and Walk to Vermillion Gym

To bypass the tree, use Rival’s (face the opposite direction of the object you want to clip)

Walk one step up, face Downwards and use Rival’s. Then walk backwards until you’re stuck. Open the Pokemon Menu and exit, then walk and Fight Surge.

Surge

Raichu: Night Shade.

Use Rival’s to clip through the wall (face the opposite way from the wall to clip them, then open the Pokemon Menu to get unstuck).

Use Rival’s, then Bicycle to Bypass the tree. Talk to Officer Jenny to get Squirtle.

Fly to Celadon.

Take one step right, open your inventory, toss 254 X Specials, select the X Special and scroll down until you see 0 Rare Candies (under HM04), and swap those. Then walk right until you are on this tile:

Swap the Super Rod with a Useless Item, toss 1 Rare Candy, swap it to the bottom of your inventory and Teleport back to Vermillion.

Walk inside Vermillion Center, Swap Silph Scope with Coin Case (Above HM04), then Warp to Cinnabar Island. (toss 248 Ultras)

Walk inside the Mansion.

Use Rival’s to clip the left wall and look for Growlithe and Rattata. (Can also get Raticate, but not Grimer)

Once you find them, walk to the basement. Catch a Grimer and Raticate if you haven’t already. (Muk is a Bonus) (Don’t Catch Ditto)

After Catching Stuff, Dig out, walk inside the Poke Center and warp to Fuchsia. (toss 249 Ultras)

Fly to Cinnabar and enter the Pokemon Center.

Evolve all party Pokemon, deposit everything except Gengar and Mew and walk to the Fossil Building.

Walk into the third room from the left and Give the Doctor the Helix Fossil.

Walk out, and walk back in.

Get Omantye.

Give the Doctor the Dome Fossil.

Walk out, walk back in and Get Kabuto.

Give Old Amber.

Walk out, walk back in and Get Aerodactyl.

Walk all the way to the door and warp to Power Plant. (Toss 115 TMs [Below 82 Thunderstones)

Catch Zapdos.

Catch a Magnemite, Magneton, and Voltorb (you can also get Voltorb in one of the Poke Balls).

After, walk here to get Electrode:

 If you haven’t caught Voltorb yet, use Rival’s to clip through the wall to get Voltorb. ^^^

After, Dig out and walk to the Mart.

Warp to Seafoam Islands (toss 36 TM40s)

Catch Seel, Zubat, Krabby, and Golbat. (Dewgong and Kingler are Bonuses)

Then, Fish for Staryu.

After, stand on this tile, then open your menu and swap the 1 Paralyz Heal with the Warp Master Balls:

Walk right and Catch Articuno.

Walk to the ladder, and walk back.

Catch Ditto, Graveler, Rhyhorn, and Rhydon. (Lickitung is a Bonus)

Then, when you are at the water, Fish for Goldeen and Seaking.

Then, scroll in your menu until you see a Good Rod, and fish for Poliwag.

After, go to this tile here:

Scroll down until you see an item called “?????” (under HM04). Select it and scroll down until you see “SoulBadge” (under 17 TM28s) and swap it.

Talk to Mewtwo and catch it.

Dig out, bike to the Mart and warp to Safari Zone (toss 38 Ultras).

Catch Nidoran-M/F, Exeggcute, and Cubone (Kangashkan and Nidorina are bonuses, Scyther and Pinsir are trolls)

Then, fish for Magikarp. (Dratini is a bonus)

If no Cubone and you have caught the mandatory Pokemon and Kangashkan, you can bike to the area below you with a higher Cubone encounter rate, a Nidorino slot, a Marowak Slot and a Tauros Slot.

After catching stuff, dig out and set up Rival-Flys (Pics of all six Rival Flys below). (Rival-Fly is where you use Rival’s, go in front of the trainer and fly away to set up a Trainer-Fly)

Fly to Lavender and Bike to Route 10. Catch the Jynx.

Evolve Pokemon, Deposit all Pokemon except Mew, swap boxes and Warp to Lorelei (toss 11 Ultra Balls)

Talk to Lorelei.

Dewgong: Explosion.

Cloyster: (Mew) Explosion.

Fly to (Place you haven’t activated a Traner-Fly yet), Fly to Fuchsia, Go in the Pokemon Center and warp to Victory Road Gate (toss 222 Ultras).

Walk down to the small patch of grass and Catch Nidorino, Nidorina and Mankey. (Primeape is a bonus).

Fly to Vermillion.

(If you didn’t catch Lickitung or Tauros, then you don’t need to set up any more Trainer Flys)

(If you caught Lickitung/Tauros but you don’t need Kangashkan, you don’t need to set up anymore Trainer-Flys. If you do need Kangashkan, set up a special Trainer-Fly where you don’t leave any space between the trainer and you)

(If you caught both Lickitung and Tauros but you don’t need Kangashkan, set up 1 special Rival-Fly. If you do need Kangashkan, set up 2 special Rival-Flys)

(Fly to Vermillion on the last Rival-Fly)

Withdraw Omastar (if Omastar doesn’t hit test with other Pokemon) and one of the legendary birds (that hit 149). Warp to Unknown Dungeon (toss 29 Ultras).

Look (Don’t Catch) for a Ditto. Once you do, switch to Omastar and Run Away. Dig out and activate the Trainer-Fly to Catch Weedle. Do that for the Legendary Bird for Alakazam and Mewtwo if you don’t have Kangashkan.

After doing Ditto-Flys, deposit all Pokemon except Gengar and Mew, and Bike to the Mart.

Sell the Stack of Calciums.

Fly to Celadon.

Bike to Game Corner and pick up 100 Coins here:

Buy 900 coins at the desk.

Walk out, walk into the Building on the right and buy Vulpix (left person)

Walk out, Bike to Eevee building.

Climb the stairs and get Eevee.

Swap Ultra Balls with Warp Item, Toss 21 and walk back down the stairs to the First Floor.

Scroll Down until you see a Town Map above 2 Poke Balls, scroll down a bit more until you see 4 Poke Balls. Toss one and exit the Building. You should be in Silph now.

Walk on the Teleporter and get Lapras. (note: If your Rival Challenges you for some reason, Psychic all his Pokemon except Kadabra (Night Shade it))

Walk back to the Teleporter, Dig out and Enter the Pokemon Center.

Evolve all Pokemon in your Boxes.

After Evolving all Pokemon Except Pikachu, Swap the Master Balls under the SS Ticket with the Item above the Ultra Balls and use a Thunderstone on Pikachu.

Then, warp to Hall of Fame (Toss 80 TMs).
