H.R 127 - Articles of Impeachment

Del Perro (City Hall) -- This evening, Representative Lawson introduced HR 127 Articles of Impeachment against Judge Matthew Snyder, a justice nominated earlier this year by Governor Tod. Matthew Snyder was nominated by Governor Tod after a productive interview, learning about his past and his work in the legal system in New York City. Snyder was approved by the Legislature on March 27, 2022.

This is the second time an Impeachment has been introduced in San Andreas, with the first impeachment being against William Benning in HR 046. If the articles of Impeachment pass with the assent of the Legislature, there will be a trial before Mr. Snyder is removed from his position.

The governor’s office would like to stress to the public that the office of the governor plays no role in impeachment, and will remain neutral as it has in the past.
