As of September 5, T. Hoxha’s support team has noted that her demand has been escalated from Sodexo to the UK Ministry of Justice. They have advised that the most helpful thing we can do from here on out is to contact our local UK embassy or consulate and request that they put pressure on the UK Ministry of Justice to meet T Hoxha’s demand.

T is currently on Day 27 of her hunger strike and is in critical medical condition. She is demanding the reinstatement of her job in the prison library. Ms. Tetua Hoxha has suffered grave health consequences from this ongoing neglect by Sodexo. Her demands, such as the reinstatement of her library job, are simple and Sodexo could easily meet them. She has repeatedly been denied medical attention from prison authorities despite displaying acute signs of malnutrition.
Over 100 medical professionals from the UK have issued an urgent appeal to HMP Peterborough and Sodexo to meet T. Hoxha’s demands, declaring that she is in a “medical emergency” and at risk of cardiac arrest.
According to the Human Rights Act of 1988, Sodexo leadership can be held legally liable in a court of law for intentionally neglecting Ms. Hoxha's health. Specifically, Article 3 protects indivudals from freedom of torture and degrading treatment. These statutes apply to all public authorities and private organizations including Sodexo. Failing to uphold these provisions can result in costly fines and extensive litigation.
Please note that the campaign to meet T. Hoxha’s basic rights and demands is now international, and has been covered by a number of major media outlets, including Middle East Eye, The New Arab, The National, The Observer, Abolition Media, The National, and more, and has been translated into at least five languages.
For the sake of Ms. Hoxha's health, I urge Sodexo leadership to reinstate Ms. Hoxha's library job and provide her with immediate medical attention.

My name is ________ and I am writing to pitch an urgent story for immediate release about a political prisoner in the U.K. named T. Hoxha who has been imprisoned for the last 9 months without trial for her actions in solidarity with Palestine.
She has now been on hunger strike at HMP Peterborough for 25 days to demand an improvement in her prison conditions, including the return of her job in the prison library.
As she enters Day 25 of her hunger strike, she is in critical medical condition.
On August 26, Casey Goonan, who has similarly been imprisoned for the last year at Santa Rita Jail in the U.S. without trial for his actions in solidarity with Palestine, began a hunger strike from his own jail cell in solidarity with T. Hoxha. Casey is now entering their eighth day without food.

Today I learned about T Hoxha, a Pal Action prisoner in the UK who is on Day 16 of her hunger strike at HMP Peterborough. As of 4pm EST on August 26, 2025, 2 out of 3 of her demands have been met, and she is still on strike to demand that the prison release the mail they have been withholding from her.
As captives imprisoned for our participation in the Palestinian liberation movement in the west, we have a responsibility to each other across borders to pursue our lives in prison with the same steadfastness as the Palestinian prisoner movement held captive in Israeli prisons.
The states that we have been captured by are the enablers of the Zionist entity’s accelerated genocide and the extermination of Palestinians in Gaza, as well as the ongoing genocides of Black and Indigenous people whose lands they continue to occupy.
As the western left continues to move from crisis to crisis and avoid their responsibilities to Palestine, we are all that we have. By we I am referring to people facing repression for their support of Palestine, who are sacrificing, truly sacrificing. People such as T Hoxha, who has suffered through 16 days of starvation just to get her mail.
The Palestine solidarity movement in the west cannot abandon people like her who have risked their lives and continue to do so in resistance to this intolerable condition of genocide.
Solidarity is actions, not words. As of today, my cellmate and I are on hunger strike at Santa Rita jail until her demands are met. Solidarity with T. Hoxha and all prisoners of the Palestine solidarity movement!

Mientras la izquierda occidental continúa pasando de crisis en crisis y eludiendo sus responsabilidades con Palestina, somos todo lo que tenemos. Son audience devrait se tenir le 23 septembre prochain. En solidarité avec la prisonnière T Hoxha en grève de la faim depuis plus de 15 jours en Angleterre (voir notre article), il a annoncé faire une grève de la faim avec un autre codétenu. Les États qui nous ont capturés sont les facilitateurs du génocide accéléré des Palestiniens par l’entité sioniste, ainsi que des génocides en cours des peuples noirs et autochtones dont ils continuent d’occuper les terres.
