Community Calendar Event Submission Guidelines

Welcome to the City of Mableton Community Calendar! Our goal is to provide a centralized platform for community events to enhance engagement and minimize scheduling conflicts. Please review the following guidelines before submitting your event.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Community-Oriented: Events must benefit the community and be open to the public. 2. Non-Discriminatory: Events must not promote hate, discrimination, or illegal activities. 3. Accessibility: Events do not have to be free but must be accessible to anyone who wishes to attend.

4. Location: Events must take place within the city limits of Mableton.

Submission Process

1. Submission Form: Complete the event submission form available at www.mableton.gov/community.

2. Event Details: Provide comprehensive details, including:

○ Event name

○ Date and time

○ Location

○ Description

○ Organizer's contact information

○ Whether the event is recurring (with an end date if applicable)

3. Submission Timeline: Submit your event at least 14 days before the event date to allow for review and processing.

Review and Approval

1. Internal Review: Submissions will be reviewed by the Events Coordinator and Office Manager within 48 hours.

2. Approval Notification: Approved events will be added to the calendar, and you will receive a confirmation email.

3. Denials and Appeals: If your event is denied, you will be notified with the reason. You can appeal the decision to the City Manager or Mayor, who will make a final decision within 5 business days.

Recurring Events

1. Submission: Recurring events must be submitted as a single request with an end date specified.

2. Updates: If there are changes to the recurring event schedule, submit an update form available on the same webpage.

Community Calendar Event Submission Guidelines Prohibited Content

1. Discriminatory Content: Events promoting hate, discrimination, or illegal activities will not be approved.

2. Commercial Promotions: Direct commercial sales or promotions without a community engagement component may not be approved.
