Week of December 5th-9th

 

Package One:

The bid for the ball fields and courts construction job has been sent out. Construction is predicted to begin in January. The bid for the Maintenance/Warehouse Building construction job has also been sent out and construction is predicted to begin around the same time.

 

Package Two:

A design team for the Junior High Campus has met with the architects to work on a preliminary design plan. A tentative timeline has construction set to begin sometime in May of 2017.

 

Package Three:

A design team for the Brown Elementary Replacement Campus site has met with architects to work on a preliminary design plan. The goal is to present them to the WISD School Board in January 2017.

 

Package Four:

High School staff has met with architects to begin a preliminary design plan.

Week of December 12th-16th

All design teams will be meeting with architects to continue building project discussions.

 Week of December 19th-23rd

The WISD School Board of Trustees held a Board Workshop Meeting on December 20, 2016 to discuss design plans for the four construction packages. Updated design plans have published under the Bond Progress 2016 Design Plan Tab.

Week of December 26th-30th

WISD Administrative Offices and campuses are closed.

Week of January 3rd-6th

WISD Design Teams have met to further discuss upcoming project designs.

Week of January 9th-13th

WISD Administrators have met with the Architectural Firm to discuss preliminary design plans. Updated design plans for both the Jr. High and new Brown Elementary campus have been uploaded to the Bond Progress 2016 Design Plans tab under the Bond 2016 drop-down on the Whitehouse ISD website.

Week of January 16th-20th

The architectural firm handling the building designs for the 2016 Bond Construction Project presented a 3D model of the Junior High and new Brown Elementary campuses to the School Board.

Week of January 23rd-27th

The architectural firm handling the building designs for the 2016 Bond Construction Project are still working on final design plans for upcoming projects based on suggestions made by the WISD Board of Trustees regarding the previous project plans presented. Updates to the buildings’ design plans will be presented at the next board meeting, February 13th, 2017.

Week of January 30th - February 3rd.

The architectural firm handling the building designs for the 2016 Bond Construction Project are continuing to work on final design plans for the upcoming projects based on suggestions made by the WISD Board of Trustees.

Week of February 6th-10th

WRL has broken ground at Whitehouse High School to begin constructing the Athletic Complex, which started with tree removal. Design meetings for the concessions stands and restrooms at the new stadium will also be taking place this week.

Week of March 27th-31st

Construction crews are working on the foundation for the new Warehouse that will go behind the Special Education office on Bascom Road.

Whitehouse ISD Administration, officials with the city of Tyler, and officials with Smith County met during spring break to discuss future road construction for the new Brown campus.

Whitehouse City Council approved a variance for the restroom/concession stand facility that will be built at the football stadium.
