Prerequisite: Teacher approval.

Qualified German students improve mastery of important German grammar structures, vocabulary, and usage while extending their spoken and written fluency. Students reach these goals through interacting with authentic spoken and written texts including longer literary works. This course culminates in the taking and passing of the German AP exam in May. Students who pass the test will receive up to 12 college credits. In addition to the AP focus of the class, German AP students begin to transition into independent adult German usage and develop German job skills as they learn Business German, German for the travel and tourism industry, and German translation. Students may enroll in concurrent enrollment German 2010 through UVU and receive college credit (4 credit hours of German 2010).
