Stonescale Passage: Guide

Guide by Azaethal (EU) for Stonescale Passage
When a mortal dies, their soul transitions from the Earthen Realm to the Spirit Realm by walking the Stonescale Passage. The dead are protected by the Keepers, but the Keepers now face an evil they cannot face alone. They now seek a particular warrior, one who previously crossed the veil to the In-Between, and whose Chi carries the strength to drive back fiendish hordes.
Recently, the two spirits, executors, and gods by the name of Amasa and Amayun escaped from their ancient prisons. They quickly ambushed the Keepers as they helped the deceased travel to the Beyond, forcing the dead to walk another path. Amasa and Amayun now absorb the lone souls of the deceased to grow in strength and so, with no other choice, the Keepers turn to you to not just restore the order that keeps the mortal and Spirit Realm separate, but to bring safety to the Beyond.

World Map
Due to the map of Stonescale Passage being split into two intertwining roads, have party members split up taking one road each. The first minibosses should also have the party split up into 3/3.

Miniboss: Eidolon of Earth, Eidolon of Air

- Eidolon of Earth: 111,240,000 / 535,600,000
- Eidolon of Air: 93,690,000 / 450,600,000
Mechanics
- From the start of the fight, both Eidolons will summon different types of entities.
- Eidolon of Earth summons several Dark Vortexes. Don’t stand in the vortex as it deals fair damage.
- Eidolon of Air summons several Lightning Orbs. Don’t let it catch up to you as it deals fair damage and despawns. The Lightning Orb also despawns if it touches the boss.
Eidolon of Air and Eidolon of Earth resonate and switch positions
- When the Eidolons reach the 60% HP threshold, they’ll switch positions.
- When either Eidolon reaches the 60% HP threshold before the other, the Damage Resistance effect will be applied.

- The Eidolons won’t receive damage until both are at the same HP.
- For each entity summoned, one stack of Divergence will be applied to the bosses.

- Divergence will trigger a Berserk Rage at 10 stacks.
- To interrupt additional Divergence stacks, have the Lightning Orb move into the Dark Vortex. That way, both entities will be removed.

Boss: Amasa, Amayun

Normally responsible for reincarnating or executing the deceased, executor Amasa and Amayun now absorb the souls of the dead to grow in strength.
- Amasa: 1,174,500,000 / 4,350,000,000
- Amahyn: 942,300,000 / 3,490,000,000
- Condition Bars: 2x
- Phase Initiations: 90%, 60%, 30%
Attack Pattern
- As there are two different bosses, each requires their own tanking strategies.
- Amasa, the female boss, should be tanked in far range by a ranged class on the opposite side of Amayun.
- Amayun, the male boss, should be tanked in close range by a melee class on the opposite side of Amasa toward the wall. The other party members can position in between them. The party should focus its damage contribution on Amayun until mechanics initiate.
- Amasa inflicts Petrification effect when a player is hit or when the camera is turned toward Amasa

- Petrification lasts for 60 seconds.
- Petrification inflicts Allurement effect on 30 stacks

- Allurement lasts for 5 seconds
- Allurement renders the character immobile during its duration.
- While Amasa is stationary in the center of the room, Amayun will circle around the room. Be careful not to step too close or you’ll engage the boss.
- Defeating either boss before the other causes Amasa and Amayun to become unlinked, inflicting both bosses with the Unlink effect.

- Unlink lasts for 10 seconds. Defeat both bosses before the effect expires.
- Unlink causes the bosses to enter a Berserk Rage after the duration.
Regular Pattern: AmasaSnake Whip
- Double linear attack
Soul Blast
- Double projectiles
Judgment Mirror’s Allurement
- 360° AoE explosion
- Inflicts Allurement if your character is not turned away from the boss
Mass Petrification
- 270° attack with safe-zone on the opposite side of the tank
Soul Grinder
- Double 120° attacks on left and right side of the tank
Soul Binder
- Underground snake attack toward the tank
- Inflicts Undead Restraint effect for 5 seconds
| Regular Pattern: AmayunSoul Slash
- Double swipe
Soul Shatter
- Front strike into a ranged attack on the tank’s left and right side
Soul Slicer
- Horizontal shove toward tank followed by 360° single spin
Sword Discharge
- Front and rear triangle attacks
|
Time based pattern
Soul Rupture
- Amayun inflicts Undead Restraint effect for 5 seconds

- Undead Restraint inflicts immobility for its duration.
- Amayun jumps to the ranged tank and inflicts the AoE Soul Rupture around them.
- Overlapping Soul Rupture with Amasa causes her to enter a Berserk Rage.
- Overlapping Soul Rupture with a player inflicts Countervail.
- Countervail causes Petrification stacks to be removed.
- Countervail protects against receiving additional Petrification stacks.
Mechanics
- The 90/60/30% mechanics will initiate, even if only one of the two bosses have reached the proper HP threshold.
- In Easy Mode, a common strategy is to have two players enter Soul Separation, but only remove 4 out of the total 5 stacks of Necro-Barrier. That means the damage reduction is a lot less and, after a while, the bosses will start their Berserk Rage pattern (but without inflicting instant death, of course).
- The described mechanics are fairly loose in its structure. Unlike most other bosses where one mechanic is followed by the next, Amasa and Amayun often do their regular attack pattern in between.
Amayun singles out a target to Execute
- Amayun receives five stacks of Necro-Barrier and enters Soul Separation.

- Amasa will be located in the center of the room after the move.
- Necro-Barrier greatly reduces the damage received to the boss.
- Necro-Barrier will cause the boss to enter Berserk Rage if left unremoved.
- Melee tank receives the Soul Isolation effect.
- Soul Isolation lasts for 5 seconds.
- Soul Isolation ending will trigger the Soul Separation effect.

Amayun conjures a Karmic Mirror
- Once the message shows, a total of six Karmic Mirrors will spawn on the map.

- Karmic Mirrors always spawn at 2/3/5/7/9/11 o’clock.
- Three Karmic Mirrors will turn white, the remaining three Karmic Mirrors will turn black.
- The colour of the Karmic Mirrors is swapped in the outside and Soul Separation. For example, a white Karmic Mirror on the outside will be a dark Karmic Mirror in Soul Separation.
- Different things will now happen in Soul Separation and the outside.
- In Soul Separation, Amayun will frequently cast Sword Schism.
- Sword Schism, a white beam, must be cast toward certain Karmic Mirrors.
- In Soul Separation, the Karmic Mirror to be targeted is black. Successfully targeting Sword Schism toward a black Karmic Mirror will cause a path to be opened, meaning outside players can enter Soul Separation. A common method is to target the first two black Karmic Mirrors starting from 12 o’clock.
- On the outside, the Karmic Mirror will be white.
- On the outside, Amasa will proceed with her normal attack pattern until a Karmic Mirror has been opened. Once a Karmic Mirror is opened, #3 will start.
Amasa focuses her attention on someone
- After Sword Schism successfully opened a pink mirror, Amasa will focus on the furthest target and inflict the Snake Eyes effect.

- Snake Eyes lasts for 10 seconds.
- Snake Eyes will trigger three circular AoEs around the character at 5 seconds left. At the effect’s expiration:
- The innermost circle of Snake Eyes removes three stacks of Necro-Barrier.
- The middle circle of Snake Eyes removes two stacks of Necro-Barrier.
- The outermost circle of Snake Eyes removes one stack of Necro-Barrier.
- Snake Eyes is very similar to the Peacekeeper’s mechanic Soul Burst in Nightfall Sanctuary.
- Upon expiration, Snake Eyes will be replaced with Snake Eye Immunity.

- Snake Eye Immunity lasts for 22 seconds.
- Snake Eye Immunity causes the player to evade Amasa’s gaze, meaning Snake Eyes won’t be able to be inflicted.
The Karmic Mirror absorbs the energy of the Execution target
- When all stacks of Necro-Barrier have been removed, the above-mentioned message will show where the Karmic Mirrors start absorbing energy from the melee tank. This is also indicated by the tank receiving the Soul Salvager effect.

- Two players are enough to remove the five stacks of Necro-Barrier. In the potential case of someone failing to remove the needed amount of stacks, a third player can enter as well.
- The first player who enters Soul Separation with Snake Eyes should remove three stacks of Necro-Barrier by hitting Amasa with the innermost circle.
- The second player who enters Spatial Isolation with Snake Eyes should remove two stacks of Necro-Barrier by hitting Amasa with the middle circle.
The Karmic Mirror infuses the energy it absorbed into the Executors
- The white Karmic Mirrors, in both Soul Separation and on the outside, will fire the absorbed Karmic Energy from the melee toward both bosses. These must be ‘body-blocked’.
Boss continuously gains Soul Link if one or more lines are being connected to the boss.
Soul Energy is absorbed. Damage Reduction increases per stack. | Player gains Soul Erosion if a line is being blocked by a player.
A twisted soul is eroding your body. |
- Allowing 10 stacks of Soul Link to be inflicted will result in the boss receiving a permanent Soul Link effect.
- Soul Link inflicts maximum damage reduction.
- Once all lines from Karmic Mirrors have been blocked, the next pattern will begin.
Amayun unleashes a Sword Schism
- During this time, Amayun will intermittently open his condition bars while the regular pattern is being carried out.
- By successfully interrupting whichever attack is happening, Amayun will cast Sword Schism. This should be targeted toward the black Karmic Mirrors.
- On the outside, the same (but white) Karmic Mirror will cast a cone attack toward Amasa, initiating #7.
Amasa uses Stone Schism
- After Sword Schism was sent from Amayun into the Karmic Shield which reflected it into Amasa, Amasa’s condition bars will open. By successfully interrupting whichever attack is happening, Amasa will cast Stone Schism. This should be targeted toward the black Karmic Mirrors.
- In Soul Separation, the same (but white) Karmic Mirror will cast a cone attack toward Amayun, inflicting one stack of Petrification.

The Stone Schism has turned Amayun to stone
- By inflicting two stacks of Petrification, Amayun will turn to stone and receive two status effects:
- Petrification

- Petrification indicates Amayun has turned to stone
- Petrification consists of a total of 30 stacks
- Petrification is depleted by x1 every time an attack hits
- Petrification and Petrification Breaks breaks after all stacks are removed, if not Petrification Break expired first
- Petrification Break
- Petrification Break lasts for 7 seconds.
- Petrification Break means Amayun is beginning to break out of Petrification
- After the above-mentioned effects are gone, they’ll be replaced by Chaos.

- Chaos lasts for 7 seconds
- Chaos leaves Amayun dazed until expiration
Whirring Annihilation
- Phase finishes with five roomwide AoEs.
