Activity 2.3: Revolution Project Part 1: Causes of the Revolution
This alternative account of the Boston Massacre is much different than that of Paul Revere.
In lesson 1 you learned about the conflicts between the American colonists and the British. In lesson 2, you have learned about what role self-government plays in that conflict. In this activity, you will complete a project that outlines how the major conflicts led to the Revolution and how the tradition of self-government played a major role in the conflict.
Benchmarks:
5.4.4.17.1: Identify major conflicts between the colonies and England following the Seven Years War; explain how these conflicts led to the American Revolution.
5.4.4.17.2: Describe the development of self-governance in the British colonies and explain the influence of this tradition on the American Revolution.

To complete Activity 2.3 please follow the steps below:
STEP 1:
You will be creating a presentation that will explain the main causes of the American Revolution. You will do this by creating a visual cause-and-effect flowchart, timeline, and/or presentation.
Looking back at the previous lessons, answer these guiding questions:
