Much revered Professor Laszlo

Many thanks for your kind letter and very dear greetings from both Royal Highnesses.

Together with Countess Trani I visited the exhibition here[1] which had some pretty pictures, yours [presumably 5617] has the best place with excellent light.

[Page 2]

The exhibition occupies 4 rooms and, on entering, you can see the picture in the last big gallery where it gives an excellent impression and dominates the whole exhibition. The pictures of Princess Mimi are finding general approval.

You have the permission from the Fürstin[2] to have

the drawing reproduced in a magazine, she says. Her condition has not improved and we have to spend the whole day with her.[3] I often find no time to write.

Therefore please forgive these hastily sketched words.

We all send hugs to your charming wife who we love very much. But there remains a bit for you, too. Goodbye for today. In friendship | Your

N Schmidt

Editorial Note:

The sender, Nelly von Schmidt, was lady-in-waiting to Mathilde, Countess di Trani, née Mathilde Ludovika, Duchess in Bavaria (1843-1925 ) [7363].
