Mrs. Park’s Educational Path

Elementary School:

Crichfield Elementary  (LaPorte, Indiana)

I grew up in a house with parents as educators.

Middle/Intermediate School:

Boston Junior High School (LaPorte, Indiana)

Assisted my parents with all school related functions...from paperwork to bulletin boards...oh how I loved being at school.

High School:

LaPorte High School -  (LaPorte, Indiana)

I participated in school to work program and helped elementary school children for high school credit. I also taught adaptive aquatics in high school.

Post Secondary Path:

I always wanted to work in a school setting so I attended Purdue University where I majored in Speech and Hearing Sciences. I graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences.

I completed a Master of Education in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 and worked in both medical and outpatient settings until I landed my first school based position in 1998.

In 2004, I decided I wanted to be a licensed Educational Leader,, so I completed a certification in Educational Leadership (Administration/Special Education Director) from Marian University in 2006.  

A Message From Mrs. Park

I believe that every student can learn, just not always on the same day, or in the same way. I will empower my students to find their voice, and to understand the power of their words.  I will encourage, embrace, and challenge my students to become the best that they can be….and with this will come success!
