2024 Annual Report to the Public - Harrison School District No. 1

District Goals

Performance Report

The Harrison School District strives to achieve the following goals for each of its students:

  1. Harrison SD will improve overall proficiency by at least 6% in Reading, Science and math.
  2. Harrison School district will improve inclusive practices for students receiving Special Education services as measured by a 5% increase in the number of Special Education students in the general education setting.
  3. Harrison SD will strengthen and improve collaboration as a PLC as evidenced by agendas, data analysis, essential learning standards, assessments, and school improvement plans.

Accreditation

All schools in the Harrison School District met all standards for accreditation of the Arkansas Department of Education during 2023-2024  There were no accreditation deficiencies.

During the 2023-2024 school year, the students of the Harrison School District exceeded  average state scores on every measure of student achievement, as summarized below:

HHS students took 77 Advanced Placement Tests in nine  subjects. 66% of AP students had scores 3 or better. Seven exams had scores of 5, with one student scoring 5 on three exams.
