Lab Manager Position at the University of Oregon

Drs. Chanel Meyers and Curtis Phills are seeking a full-time (with benefits) Lab Manager for the C2 Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon. The position will start in October 2024 and last for one year with the possibility to extend for additional years based on continued funding and performance. This position will be a great fit for people looking to strengthen their research skills before applying to graduate school in social psychology, organizational behavior, or related fields.

The lab manager/research project assistant will work closely with both Dr. Meyers and Dr. Phills in conducting research on prejudice and stereotyping, implicit bias, social identity, and social perception. The lab manager will also oversee the day-to-day process of conducting research. That will include research project management, programming studies, managing IRB submissions, processing data, literature review & manuscript editing, supervising undergraduate research assistants, administrative tasks, and data collection in the lab, the field, and online.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field of social science. Prior experience in running behavioral studies is important. Applicants must also have strong computer skills (e.g., aptitude with R, SPSS, Excel, Javascript, Qualtrics). Experience working with eye-tracking technology is a plus, but not required. Applicants should have strong organizational and communication skills.
