Quakes Fastpitch

2017 Summer Travel Ball Program at 14B

Information Sheet

Quakes Fastpitch Overview:

The Quakes Fastpitch organization is collaborative effort among five leagues (originally the four leagues of Campbell, Los Gatos-Saratoga-Cupertino, Sunnyvale, West Valley, and now also Branham Hills).  The purpose is to meet the challenges of the 14U division by combining our resources, which creates a level of participation that ensures girls from each of the 5 leagues will have a pathway to 14U and above softball.  In addition, by having greater numbers we will be able to offer multiple levels of play so that a team exists for every player’s skills and desires.  Our ultimate goal is to optimize player performance and maintain the ideal life balance that assures continued academic and athletic achievement through middle school and high school.

In addition to our spring recreation league, we also offer year-round travel ball teams for the 14U, 16U, and 18U divisions.

Team Formation:

Teams will be formed by Wednesday 5/3 and families will be contacted about initial team meetings by that date.  The number of teams formed will depend on the number of coaches, pitchers, and other key positions available.  Our goal is to offer as many players as possible a role on one of the Quakes 14B teams for summer 2017.

Quakes Fastpitch organization has several highly experienced and skilled coaches.  Included in our coaching roster are coaches from area high schools, including Mountain View HS, Prospect HS, Saratoga HS, and King’s Academy.  These individuals have extensive rec league and travel ball experience as well to assist and develop our players, preparing them in the classroom and on the softball field to succeed and thrive at the high school level.  Our organization is always on the lookout for skilled coaches, so if you know of anyone who is interested (even to help coach one of our 14B summer teams), please don’t hesitate to let one of the Quakes Board members know.

Practice Facilities:

Fields in the South Bay area including schools and parks under our control in Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Campbell, Branham Hills, and San Jose will be utilized for Quakes practices and scrimmages.
