Destiny The Taken King

• Got it. Loving it.
• The Ui changes are fantastic.
• Still some weird game play decisions that feel repetitive and grindy.

Bought Rock Band 4

• Really not consumer friendly on the Xbox but I don’t think Harmonix or Mad Catz is at fault.
• Mad Catz however totally screwed the pooch on the Legacy Adapters for Xbox One.

• This is the device that allows you to use old wireless 360 instruments with the Xbox One.
• Old wired controllers for the 360 DO NOT work. PS4 controllers however work fine.
• Link to the RB4 compatibility list
• Mad Catz officially apologized for the shortage but then the CEO Alex Verrey went on to basically say that if you didn’t get one you should have preordered. “We did warn that demand would be high!”

• But some who preordered didn’t get their adapters because there were more preorders than adapters that were made. Well done Mad Catz

• I tweeted at Harmonix asking if it is even possible to buy a stand alone guitar for Xbox One and they replied saying they will go on sale in 2016.

• The game itself is great. Feels like old Rock Band.
• I am not happy with how stripped down it is. It’s fine for me, but seems rather awful for new players.

• No tutorials outside of the new freestyle solos.
• Easy-mode utilizes all 5 buttons whereas back in the day Guitar Hero would start with only 3 button and move up from there. This was a great way to learn the game.

Wedding Update

• Just shy of 2 weeks out. Really looking forward to it.
• Did a test photo shoot with Ben and Abby last week.
• Got my suit. Learned how to tie a bow tie.
• Wedding bands are in... kind of. They have screwed up Katie’s twice now.
• Having a lot of fun running around grabbing all the “classy” Halloween decorations we can.
• Working on music at the moment. Going to have a lot of funk for my parents’ crowd. Putting together a ton of 90s and early aughts pop-punk for the folks around Katie and my age.

Hey Garrett.

Dan / Grayfire here. Longtime fan of your shows since the early days of Starcast.

I guess I’ll start with the obligatory wedding well wishes. It’s not far away now and I’m sure you are working hard to get ready for it so best of luck to you both during and after the wedding.

My main reason for emailing was to ask you a bit about Blizzcon. I managed to get a ticket and will be making the trip out to attend. Hopefully I get the chance to see you, Kyle, and the rest of the AmoveTV crew. It will be my first Blizzcon so I was wondering how you’ve enjoyed the show before and what I can expect as a first time attendee. Is it difficult to get into panels if you don’t show up early? I’d like to see a bunch of the panels but I’d also like to make some time to try out their game demos (especially Overwatch) and to see the various WCS tournaments come to a close. So I was curious if you might have any tips to better manage the time I will have there.

Also as someone who has always had access to a car ever since I learned to drive, I’ve never really used public transportation. So I was wondering what would the best way to get around Anaheim. I’ll need a ride at least to and from the airport and I wasn’t sure if Uber, Taxi, or Bus would be the best way to go. Any advice you might have would be appreciated

I’m liking the show so far. It’s cool to get a more casual look at your life and interests. Keep up the good work, good luck, and have fun.

Hey Garrett,

Long time listener from starcast, this week in blizz, amove, and up to angry chicken, into the nexus and the angry nerd. So I appreciate all that you do to keep me informed on all the IPs that we have all grown up playing.

 So my question is about blizzcon 2015 and what you think will be the big reveal, with all the IPs already having a foothold in our minds, could this possibly be the year of Warcraft 4 (I hope this is it), A new mobile pet battle game? Or something completely off the wall we are not expecting?

Also, myself being engaged and getting married next September, I'm right there with you with all the wedding craziness. Just hold in there comrade. Everything will work out wonderfully.

Keep up the great work man, again really appreciate it.
