Content Creator
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and motivated content creator to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about active and sustainable mobility. The role requires a knack for scouring cutting-edge research, interesting stories, debates and news that links the organization’s work with ongoing issues in cycling and transportation. You will hone your skills in research, creative writing, and social media outreach while contributing to an impact-driven research non-profit. You would work closely with our Communications Officer to shape and amplify our message through engaging content.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and interpret research, news, legislation etc. in engaging social media posts
- Transform complex research and data into compelling narratives and easily digestible content for diverse audiences.
- Create and schedule posts to amplify the organization’s message on platforms like Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
- Liaise with the communications officer on social media content ideas and campaigns
- Ensure all content adheres to copyright laws and check for Creative Commons-licensed materials for use.
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of content for future use, ensuring a steady flow of posts.

- 2 days per week

- Freelancer registration/license required
Qualifications
- Strong interest in communications, social media, and/or urban studies, urban planning, cycling, and related themes.
- Deep knowledge of current debates and discourse on mobility and cycling narratives
- Experience in creating and posting social media content.
- Familiarity with social media trends and best practices.
- Video editing skills to make YouTube Shorts and Reels a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Application Requirements
- Assignment: Go through our website and social media channels to familiarise yourself with our areas of work, themes and tone. Draw up a proposal (can be bullet points too) on how you would link our work with contemporary debates and discourse in news media and popular media (300 words max).
