Quiz: Enabling the Safe Exam Browser for Moodle ISU Quizzes Moodle ISU
The Safe Exam Browser (SEB) is a proctoring tool used by faculty in the ISU Computer Classrooms. The SEB software changes any computer into a secure workstation. It regulates the access to any utilities like system functions, other websites and applications, and prevents unauthorized resources being used during an exam.
Note: This is not an online proctoring solution, but a product to help enhance in-person proctoring in a computer lab setting.
SEB has been installed in several ISU computer labs in Pocatello, Meridian, Idaho Falls, and Twin Falls. For a complete list of computer labs with SEB, see the eISU website.
Students will need to initiate the SEB on the computer prior to starting their Moodle quiz. The Student: Safe Exam Browser for Moodle ISU Quizzes handout explains how to initiate, use, and close the SEB for students. Feel free to share this link with your students.
