Dear Mr de László
Thank you for your letter and for so kindly recommending me to Lord Roberts.
I shall be very pleased to make a copy [6929] of your portrait [6931] of him should he commission me to do it.
I return to Gerrards Cross next Wednesday and I think I could start the work almost immediately as it

seems unlikely that I shall get the portrait of Lord Curzon [3890] for some time.
I enclose a copy of a letter from Sir William Anson[1] which will explain the situation. I have written to Mr Grant Robertson asking when I may expect to have the portrait but there has hardly been time for me to have a reply yet.
