10th [Oct.?] 1930

My dear President,

Your most kind letter of the 5th inst reached me this morning – for some obscure reason it was not forwarded from my other address, and I have been confined to the house for the past 5 days with a chill. Many thanks. I knew you would understand.

I fully expect to be with you at the R.B.A. tomorrow and to have the pleasure of meeting you there.

[Page 2]

I quite agree with what you say about the Chairman on committee of the Arts Club.

Again with my appreciation of your letter

Yrs most cordially

Alex Maclean
