Advanced Placement - Exam Registration Student Guide

This guide should be reviewed by all students enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) course regardless of their intention to take an AP exam.


During the first two weeks of school, students enrolled in an AP course should:

Purpose: To access all AP Classroom materials that will strengthen your skills for the course.


On October 20, 2025, students planning to take an AP exam should complete this two-step process: 

Purpose: Registration has to be completed in both Total Registration (where we collect payment) and in College Board (where the exam order is actually generated). If these are not done appropriately, students will not be able to sit for an AP exam.


On October 20, 2025, students NOT planning to take an AP exam should complete the following:

Purpose: College Board defaults the exam ordering system to “undecided” for each student who joins an AP course through their My AP account. For best practice, students should be sure that they are indicating that they do not want to take an AP exam.

This year, the following AP exams will be given in a digital format only (Students complete multiple-choice and free-response questions in Bluebook, with all responses automatically submitted at the end of the exam.):
