Registration

Our Registration Process is handled entirely online.  This process should be performed by a Parent or Guardian unless the athlete is at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.  Please follow all instructions during the registration process.  You will be asked to answer several questions.  Do so accurately. Update all information about your swimmers as information changes.  You will find the current registration on the top button on the right side of our home page.

Trial Period

The New Swimmer group is only used to identify New Swimmers who want to take advantage of the trial period during the fall registration.  The trial period is only offered during the fall signups and expires on Friday of the second week of the Fall practice schedule for each group.  If we are notified of a NEW Swimmer’s intent to not stay with our club during those two weeks then the initial payment and USA-Swimming registration fee will be refunded.

Section 5

Fall Fees Schedule

We are entering our fourth year with our web based software.  This web site offers us streamlined billing and payments.  There are a few changes from how we did things in the past that I want to make sure that everyone is aware of  specifically how the billing and payments for the annual USA Fee and the Team Dues will be handled.

The fee schedule for 2017 - 2018 has changed from last year.  We have had to adjust our programs offered.  Everyone will still have the ability to sign up for Short Course or Year Round. By signing up for Year Round now, you will receive a one-month discount on dues  versus signing up for short course now and long course in May.  This is strongly advised for those swimmers likely to swim in the summer of 2018.

  1. Here is how the billing will work. Please take the time to read this and understand.
  2. When you register your child (or children) for the team you will be required to pay the $63 USA fee and $200 Team Dues fee, for each child, by credit card. Your child (children) will not be registered for the team until the $263 per child payment is made.
  3. Everyone will be set up on the payment plan this year. If you want to pay the entire balance in full  please e-mail me and let me know. The payment plan for Development, Performance and Elite swimmers will be 1/4 of the remaining balance being due on October 1st , November 1st, December 1st and January 1st. So the first bill that you will receive will be on October 1st for 1/4 of your balance.  (plus any other charges on your account - meet fees etc...)
  4. For swimmers in the Senior group your balance will be split over two payments, October and November.
  5. On the 29th of each month, you will receive an e-mail invoice and statement for your account.
  6. If the required monthly payment is not received by the 21st of the month by either credit card or check an automatic $25 late fee will be applied to the account.
  7. I will automatically apply all Multi-Children Discounts to the October invoice.
  8. If you are applying for a Multi-Sports discount please be sure to send a written request to Team President Don Arslanian for consideration by the Board. Written requests to the board are the only way a multi-sports discount can be applied. Multi-Sport discounts apply towards school sponsored sports programs only.  Therefore they are limited to High School and Middle School athletes.
  9. Meet dues will be applied towards your account when signing up for each meet and will need to be paid immediately by credit card only.

Section 7

Practice Groups

This policy was developed with the thought of balancing our team with age and ability taken into consideration. These are guidelines. The HEAD COACH has final decision in determining the group placement of your child. If there are any questions concerning placement, please contact your coach.

Groups are structured in the following way:

- Times considered are official USA swimming times

times from recreational meets are not official USA swimming times

- Swimmers will only be moved up to the next group at the beginning of a session or when space is available and time is appropriate.

Senior: This group consists of high school or college swimmers. This group practices approximately 11.5 hours each week during the indoor season. To be in this group a swimmer must:

Age Group Elite: This group consists mostly of swimmers between the age of 10 and 14. Swimmers in this group must be in eighth grade or younger. This group practices approximately 8 hours per week during the indoor season. To be in this group a swimmer must:

Age Group Performance: This group consists mostly of swimmers between the ages of 9 and 14. This group practices approximately 6 hours per week during the indoor season. To be in this group a swimmer must:

Age Group Development: This group is an introductory competitive program for novice swimmers interested in swimming year round. Emphasis is placed on teaching the fundamentals of competitive swimming. This group practices approximately 3 hours per week. To be in this group a swimmer must:

Gold Elite: This group is by invite only for swimmers who have met specific time standards.

National Prep: This group is by invite only for swimmers who have met specific time standards.

Section 8

Calendar

The Calendar Tab on the team site will show key events.  Meets, Registration deadlines and Social events will all be listed.  The practice schedules are listed as pdf’s.  This saves on clutter on the general calendar.

During the High School season home meets for the High School team take precedence at all pools.  It is important that all age group parents make note of all the High School home meets and the adjusted practice schedules for those days.

Email announcements are distributed for each event.  Sometimes more than once.  Please make a note of all emailed events.

We continue to look at ways to improve the Calendar.

Volunteer Policy

We (the Swim Strong Board and officers) are all volunteers.  The officers of this team put in hundreds of hours each year to run this team.  Like many of you, we are all working professionals.  We feel passionate about this team and the young swimmers on the team.  We volunteer to help make this all happen and we hope that you look for opportunities to volunteer as well.  We are proud of the work we have done and that our team continues to grow and achieve the success that it has.

Swim Strong hosts one or more meets every year. It is required that each family participate in a minimum number of volunteer hours to make this meet a success. These opportunities will connect you with other fellow swimming families. You will gain a better understanding of the sport. Your efforts will play a huge part in our ability to foster the growth of our sport.

During our Fall Registration you will be required to agree to:

I (Swim Parent/Guardian) understand that our team and sport is possible thanks to its volunteers. Without regular efforts from our family volunteers we would not be able to hold events or participate in meets.

SPLASH OUT CANCER - !!!READ CAREFULLY!!!

LESI Hosted Meets - !!!READ CAREFULLY!!!

Swim Strong also has to provide volunteer help at other meets we attend. Not every meet requires a volunteer commitment. But when it does, Swim Strong is proud of its volunteers who help with these events as well.
