Dear Sir,

Mr. de Laszlo has now returned from abroad, and desires me to let you know that, for four hundred guineas, including 20 commission, he will paint a head and shoulder portrait.

He also wishes me to say that he cannot undertake any fresh work before the end of this year.

Dear Sir,

In reply to your letter of 2nd inst., Mr. de Laszlo wishes me to let you know that his honorarium for a portrait of head and shoulders, with hands, 30” X 40”, would be 700 guineas, including commission of 20%  and not 25%.
