Dr. Barbara Hoerst and Mary Dorr were awarded a four-year, $2.4 million HRSA grant to provide $15,000 scholarships to 40 disadvantaged undergraduate nursing majors each year.

 

Joan Luckhurst and Barbara Amster, Speech-Language-Hearing Science, who received a grant in the amount of $35,200 from a Foundation to support scholarships for students who are interested in listening and speaking for hearing impaired children.

2013 graduates in the M.S. Speech-Language Pathology program had a 100% pass rate on the national certifying exam.  The average score was 729.  A score of 600 is passing and the average national pass rate is approximately 80%. The pass rate since 20007 is 99%.

 

The Council on Education for Public Health has approved the request to begin the accreditation process for its Master of Public Health Program.

 

Susan Snyder received a $3,000 scholarship from the Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association.
