‘League of Health Ball’, 23 April 1924
An empire ball, under Royal patronage, in aid of the People’s League of Health, is fixed to take place on April 30 at The Hill, Hampstead, kindly lent by Viscount Leverhulme.
A special feature of the ball will be a costume pageant, with prizes for the costumes which best represent the British Empire. Mr. Philip de Laszlo, the famous artist, will paint the winner [13294].
There will also be bridge and mahjongg tournaments.
