July 14th [19]31.

Dear Mr. de László.

I wonder whether you would be kind enough to give your secretary some notes of your present & future activities for inclusion in the August number of a new Art journal called “The Artist”.[1]

The Editor is very keen on getting interesting information from the leading painters, & has entrusted the somewhat delicate task of collecting the matter to me. I would esteem it a favour if you could give me any account of new portraits in hand, & whether you are leaving the country for this purpose.

I think your secretary will know the kind of “news” the Editor is seeking. You will receive a copy of the magazine in which you appear.

Hoping that you will grant me this request.

Yours sincerely

Adrian Hill.

A few headings is all I require.
