Dear Mr de Laszlo
I saw your photograph in my paper this morning and I write to congratulate you on having been elected President of the R.B.A![1] –
Now I should very much like to know when it would be convenient for you to start work on

my portrait [10330] – I would have written before had I not succumbed to a sharp attack of “flu” which has put me ‘out of action” for ten days. –
