- ALL LOCKS NEED TO BE REMOVED BY 8/12 - All locks and equipment need to be removed from lockers at WSAC by 8/12. You can not put locks back on lockers until 8/31. Any lockers with locks after 8/12 will be cut and the stuff will be removed. They need a bit of cleaning!
- SSTY Brewer Tailgate and Game on Saturday, 9/19: There are only 35 tickets left in the block. You must now email Coach Alex to get yours ahallam@wsacltd.org first come first served!
- Sign up for the Trophy Meet on August 8th at WSAC: Due 7/27. At the Trophy Meet, Schroeder swimmer Meredith Griffith-Topps is organizing a bake sale to raise money for the Schroeder Scholarship Fund. She will have baked goods and drinks available for purchase. Meredith is doing this for her Taekwondo black belt project.
- SSTY takes on Noah’s Ark America’s Largest Water Park. Sign up for a family day filled with fun. Due August 8th. Families will meet at the park @ 9:30am. Sign up like a swim meet and add how many tickets will be needed. See you in your “other” suit!
- Silver State @ Waukesha recap - See # 3 below under Schroeder South.
- Silver State @ WSAC - Good performances from Schroeder at the meet across all age groups. Several additional State qualifying times were achieved and many season best / lifetime best times!

2. Practices This Week:
Please make sure you’re checking the schedule on a daily basis. If practice is cancelled due to weather or other circumstance, the schedule will be updated immediately, and an email will be sent to each family.
3. Swimmers of the Meet from Waukesha Silver Championship:
After each meet, one female swimmer and one male swimmer from South’s Age Group 1, Age Group 2, Age Group 3, Super 8, Schroeder Star, and SuperStar Groups will be acknowledged as the Swimmer of the Meet. A number of criteria will be considered for this honor, including meet performance, attending all sessions of the meet, practice attendance and work ethic, improvement, sportsmanship, positive attitude, swimming an event for the first time, etc.
Given how well everyone swam this past weekend, it was particularly difficult to choose our Swimmers of the Meet. Our male swimmer is Owen Kelly. Owen is 11 years old, works really hard at practice and has very good attendance. He swam all best times at the meet, competing in the 100 free, 50 back, 50 free, 100 back and 50 fly. Our female Swimmer of the Meet is Jordan Kruger, who just turned 9. She swam best times, including a 15 second drop in her 50 breast and a 16 second drop in her 100 free.
Congratulations Owen and Jordan.

5. Don’t Miss This Fun Team Event in Bay View in August:
Tuesday, August 4th is Bay View Kids & Family Night at Chill On The Hill (Humboldt Park) in Bay View. Schroeder South will have a table with a game to promote our team and upcoming fall tryouts. Please come and join us.
Wear your Schroeder clothing and show your pride in our team. Parents and kids can help with the game, answer questions that potential families have, listen to music. Food (including ice cream) is for sale at Chill. See Coach Ann if you have any questions.
6. SSTY Brewer Tailgate and Game on Saturday, 9/19:
We have reserved a limited number of tickets for this game. To be guaranteed a spot to sit with the team, you must reserve your ticket. At this point there are 35 tickets left in our reserved block, available on a first come, first serve basis.
For all the details, go the Schroeder home page and look for SSTY Brewers Outing. When you sign up, make sure you indicate how many tickets you need. See you at the ballpark.
7. Save the Date For Schroeder South Annual Meeting:
Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30 p.m. is the first annual Schroeder South General Parent Meeting. Among the many items on the agenda, coaches will be introduced, the upcoming practice and meet schedule will be reviewed, and the new group structure will be discussed. There will also be a question and answer period. The meeting location is tentatively planned for Cudahy Middle School. We’ll let you know when that’s finalized.
8. Contact Your Swimmer’s Coach Directly And Mail All Checks to Matt Miller:
Please contact your swimmer’s lead coach for all questions. Do not use the Schroeder team email for that reason as it causes much confusion as to who answers your question or if your question was even answered. So feel free to email your child’s coach or talk to her/him before or after practice.
Please mail all checks to Matt Miller rather than giving them to coaches at practice. We have not lost a check yet, but practice can get a little hectic. You can mail them to Matt at the following address:
