Updates and Reminders for the week of 9/30-10/4

This Week We…

Math: Students will continue to practice  writing  numerals 1-10. Students will practice counting the “math way” on their fingers. Students will sort the same group of objects more than one way and count.


ELA:
Students will learn how to write letters  “e” and  “r”  and the sounds they produce. Students will also continue to practice previous taught letters and their sounds.

Science/ Social Studies:  Students will learn about apples and their life cycles for our upcoming  field trip!

Social Emotional Learning (SEL): This week we will read My Papi has a Motorcycle by Isabel Quintero. After we read, we will talk about different communities and families.

Next Week We Will…

Science/ Social Studies:  Students will be introduced to and working with positional words like under, between, above. They will also be learning about Fall and the changing weather.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL): Bullying Prevention Month

Moments to Celebrate!

We are excited about our first field trip coming up to the Apple Orchard! Please make sure you fill out the permission form and have paid for your child on Infinite Campus.

As it gets colder outside, please make sure your child’s name is written in their jackets to prevent them from being lost!
