FINGEST GROVE,
NEAR HIGH WYCOMBE[1]
Nov 28. 1912.
Dear Mr de Lászlò.
I have only been in London two rushed days of Xmas shopping & could only go to yr studio rather late yesterday with my sister. Your parlour maid let us in & we felt so delighted with dear Miss Weisses picture [2097]. I confess we did not see very well it was so dark
[Page 2]
but it was a joy to see her face just as she looked at us so often. I was so sorry you were not there to thank you
Also I wanted to ask you just a question or two about it.
1stly – I don’t know about how much the frame is besides the 100 guineas for the portrait – could you

please tell me?
Also 2ndly may I ask about copyright – The girls are very keen to have some sort of reproduction made so that they can each have one – & I don’t know what you feel about it or what your custom is. This is I fear a very businessy letter – but I am to see the

young ladies who make the Committee on Monday morning so if you could send me a line to 22 Cheyne Gardens Chelsea[2] I should be so grateful
I am sorry to give you so much trouble. And I do want to thank you for making such a lovely picture of our dear school ma’am,
Yours sincerely,
RB. Kay Shuttleworth
P.S. Also may I ask if the picture is ready for going into the country – or has it still to be varnished or something?
