Lady Croft’s Reception
De Laszlo’s portrait of the Hon. Lady Croft [4259], whose beautiful Titian colouring particularly appealed to the artist, smiled down from one side of the spacious reception-room at 15, Southwell-gardens last night, while the original, standing almost opposite on the other side of the room, greeted the hundreds of notable guests invited to meet the Colonial Secretary, overseas visitors and Conservative Members of Parliament. Lady Croft, who is the wife of Brigadier-General Sir Henry Page Croft, M.P., looked extremely well in a gown of silver tissue.
