Actor’s Toolbox Technique Workshops
(elementary/middle school/high school)
Each semester we offer a couple of specialized workshops to expose our students to training in various theatre disciplines. Guest instructors specializing in each area are brought in to give the students a unique opportunity to receive training from a number of theatre professionals.
These workshops help our more serious theatre students build their performance technique, understand more about the theatre art form, and expand their depths as theatre artists. Students interested in studying theatre in college will especially benefit from the in-depth instruction offered by our guest instructors.
These workshops are designed for students involved in our full-scale school-year productions but other students are also welcome to participate in them.
This year Actor’s Toolbox workshops will be scheduled primarily on the weekends (most likely Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons) in app. 3 hour segments 1-2 times each semester to allow our students to enroll in our regular classes and productions, as well as periodically participate in a specialty workshop. Many guest instructors are not able to commit to a 4-6 week time frame because of their other projects so offering the workshops at one time gives us more options of what special training we can bring in for our students!
Dates and guest instructors will be announced closer to each workshop date.
