DRC FAQs
For Louisiana Virtual Charter Academy
Q: I only have login information for one course and I should have more.
A: We are working to match the information with the current courses of your student. We wanted you to have as much information as soon as possible. If you have not received additional credentials by Monday, August 14th and feel as though you should have, please reach out to your homeroom teacher.
Q: How do I find my username and password?
A: Returning families received an e-mail from Ashley Ego with a PDF file containing the username and passwords for the Diagnostic exam. If you are a returning family and did not receive this e-mail, please reach out to your homeroom teacher or Ashley Ego (aego@lavirtual.org).
Q: Information such as grade level or e-mail has changed.
A: Please notify your homeroom teacher so she or he can have it updated in our system.

A: The link to the instructions was placed in the information section of the PDF with your username and password information. You can also see the instructions here:

Q: What is the Org ID?
A: Please try to copy and paste it from the line below:

Q: What is the difference between Readiness Test and LEAP Practice?
A: This year, the Louisiana Department of Education has put out a series of assessments in preparation for this year’s LEAP 2025 Assessment. We begin with a Diagnostic (Readiness) Exam this fall. You have probably received a PDF file with your login credentials in the first week of school. Throughout the year, you will receive additional credentials and your course teachers will notify you of the dates you need to take other interim assessments. This practice series is referred to as “LEAP 360”.
Q: What browser should I use?
A: The Web pages and Web-based applications hosted by the DRC Applications require one of the following minimum Web browsers:
Additionally, the DRC Applications work optimally at a minimum browser window width of 1024 pixels (for example, a screen resolution of 1024x768 with a maximized browser window). If you do not meet the minimum, the site may require horizontal scrolling to use all functionality.
Q: Which test should I take?
A: Beginning August 2017, all LAVCA students enrolled in grades 3-8 and the High School classes of Algebra I, Geometry, English I, English II, English III, Biology, and US History are required to take the Diagnostic Assessment located in the DRC INSIGHT Program.
To access, log into the DRC INSIGHT program on your computer.
Click “Test Sign In” under the Non-Summative Diagnostic section.
Enter your username.
Enter the password for the section and type of test you would like to access.
