Materials

• Manipulative blocks (or similar manipulatives)
• Counter chips (or similar manipulatives)
• Geology Rocks Equations Activity Sheet 

Lesson Summary

Students will work with manipulative blocks and counter chips to solve multi-step equations. Students will work with the idea of an equation being balanced and what moves can be made to solve an equation. Then students will transfer their findings to written equations.
