- Spent $2000 for Creature Conservancy and music field trips
- 4th grade Lansing Field trip - Didn’t do last year
- bussing is problem because get back at end of the day
- Drop budget allotment to $3500 FOR 4TH grade field trips
- 5TH Grade field trips / camps - Keep $5000
- Art Beautification - didn’t use last year - will be used for lighted signs
- Assemblies -
- Lumberjack - presents Michigan History - one man show historical reenactment
- Harriet Tubman is out of our budget
- Keep $3000
- Mini grant approval vote-planetarium for 5th grade ($1495)
- Corporate Sponsorship- remove -taken over by central office
- Fall fest - remove pizza, goal to break even
- Field Day - pay for bounce house and popsicles - increase to $750
- George Allard has a connection for bounce house - will contact
- May 25th and June 4th - need one bounce house each day
- Want big obstacle course
- First Day Folders - do
- Fun Run -numbers need to go up - when you sign up, you do not need to add emails and phone numbers
- Company matching - up to people to who donate to facilitate
- Expenses: jelly bracelets, popsicles
- Popcorn - leave as is
- Scholastic News and Storyworks-keep
- Mrs. Webster will order
- Both Scholastic News and Storyworks for 4th and 5th grade
- Science Spin - Ms. Webster will get a quote and PTO can cover if possible- need one classroom set
- Spiritwear - remove cost aspect, we made ~ $585
- Kathy checking to see if we can open up ordering again
- Kathy Giles heard back from Seth Green-we are good to reopen the spirit wear shop in November
- Maybe set up a table at conferences where parents can order
- Keep selling only Heritage merchandise
- Keep $500 income potential
- WinterRunderland - not in budget last year
- Yearbooks: we made money on this last year - we cover for kids who cannot pay - drop to $150
- March is Reading month
- Potential author visits? - possibly
- Pancake guy is gone - need to look at alternatives - Roula will look (looking for approx 150 people-all you can eat pancakes and syrup)
- New budget as discussed passed unanimously
- Social Media: Kathy does this, rotates through events
New Business
- Ran smoothly; only need 1 volunteer for each time slot (8:45-10:45, 10:30-12:30)
- Flyer
- We are only responsible for Just Dance in gym
- 8 food trucks total, all food outside, pods closed -only bathrooms and gym open
- Start popping just after drop off
- 3 parent volunteers for each lunch to sell popcorn
- Need SUG
- Choose October & November dates:
- Flyer
- Need SUG for volunteers: Parents can sign up for their child’s timeslot
- Promote this!
- Popsicles, need about 18 boxes
- Our cost $8.50; charge/person $10
- Add labels to wristbands for ticket:Roula will do this
- Need SUG for volunteers (one SUG for each night): Katie will do this, 10 volunteers per night
- Contact Karen Lavery (Laveryk@salineschools.org), Monique O’Leary (moniquenoleary@gmail.com), & Allison Wilhelm (a.h.miller40@gmail.com) to see if interested in helping out: Gina will reach out and ask if they would like to volunteer for this.
- This is not a drop off event. An adult must be with kids, and that adult must pay.
- Families purchase for a specific day.
- No dinner included this year.
- Need two people to put wristbands in envelopes for families after 10/4 when revtrac closes (Megan and Roula)
