Think of the website as a cooperative.

This site will grow only if others help. Help by supplying information on species, references for a species, pictures, documented distributions, and any other bits of information you may have to expand the knowledge base.

To edit a species page:

Copy and paste the website information into a word doc. Then use TRACK CHANGES to edit the file. Send the edited file to jvantassell@amnh.org and I’ll upload the changes.

Currently we do not have the ability to give others access to the database directly. We will investigate adding that at some point.

Add pictures:

Send pictures in jpg format. Include photographer and the location data. Send to jvantassell@amnh.org and I’ll add it to the website.

Have suggestions on how to improve the website? I am currently paying for all of the costs related to the project. If you expertise and wish to devote time to helping with programming that would greatly help us expand.
