- Subject: Mathematics
- Audience: High School
- Credits: .5
- Prerequisites: Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry
- SCED: 02013 G

## Description:

After students complete this one-semester course, they will have an understanding of how trigonometry is used in daily life and how it relates to other mathematical topics. Trigonometry is a very visual course; much of the content is accompanied with graphics and illustrations.

## Iowa Core Skills and Standards:

Linear Relationship and Functions, Slope, Scatter Plots, and Piece Functions, Angles and Angle Measures, Trigonometric Ratios, Right Triangles, the Unit Circle, Graphing Trigonometric Functions, Vectors, Law of Sines, Law of Cosines, Angular and Linear Velocities.

## Required Materials:

Student will need a scientific calculator, or the free app Desmos or Graphmatica app, and the free Geogebra application. Details will be given during the first week of school.
